Why Your Sound Might Be Rejected

Uploaded a sound but can’t find it on the platform? Don’t worry, your sound is likely just waiting for review.

Every sound uploaded to Soundboard Guys goes through a quick check to ensure it meets our quality standards. If your sound hasn’t appeared on the site, it may have been rejected for one of the following reasons:

Common Reasons Sounds Are Rejected

Quality Issues

We prioritize high-quality audio. If a sound is hard to hear, low-quality, or mostly silent, it will not be approved.

Duplicate Content

If the sound has already been uploaded by someone else, we won’t approve a duplicate.

Duration & Music Restrictions

We do not accept full songs or lengthy music clips. We prioritize short, concise, and recognizable meme clips.

Missing Source Information

To maintain our library, we need to know the origin of the sound, such as a specific meme, game, movie, TV show, character, YouTuber, or streamer. If we cannot verify the source, we cannot approve it.

Unclear Titles

A descriptive title is essential. If the title doesn’t explain what the sound is, it makes it difficult for other users to identify and find content.

How to Get Your Sounds Approved

To improve your chances of getting your sound live, follow these best practices before hitting submit:

  • Check for duplicates: Search the platform first to ensure your sound isn’t already available.
  • Keep it short: Focus on brief clips rather than long audio files.
  • Ensure audio clarity: Double-check that your file is clear and audible.
  • Provide context & clear titles: Use a descriptive title and be prepared to identify the source material clearly.
